Villa CL: Sustainable design and architectural details that matter

A sustainable project by MAD14 Studio, where GEDA faucets are fully integrated into the architectural language

In the province of Cremona, Villa CL is a wooden residential project designed by MAD14 Studio, interpreting design, aesthetics, and sustainability in accordance with NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) standards. Designed to consume a near-zero amount of energy, the villa combines solid MHM timber walls, high-efficiency systems, and renewable energy sources, achieving a balanced dialogue between technology and comfort that is reflected in bright, essential interiors.

Founded in 2014 in Crema by Matteo Guerini, MAD14 Studio operates in the fields of contemporary architecture and interior design. The studio develops bespoke projects for residential and commercial environments, placing material research and the balance between function and aesthetics at the core of its approach. Each project is guided by the idea of bringing everything back to a “human scale”, removing the superfluous to reach the essence of design.

As the studio explains, eliminating the superfluous to enhance what is essential is the principle guiding the entire project. This vision led to the choice of GEDA faucets, particularly the Jago collection, whose squared geometries and soft curves reflect the search for balance and proportion that characterizes the intervention.
In the main bathroom, the Jago collection establishes a dialogue between the bold presence of the black finish and the natural texture of light wood.
The composition is completed by a wall-mounted basin mixer, bidet, and a shower system with hand shower and rectangular waterfall showerhead, all coordinated in the same finish.

In the second bathroom, more compact and decorative, the Jago collection returns as a distinctive element through the wall-mounted basin mixer alone. The black finish stands out against the tropical wall pattern and contrasts with the light tones of the ceramic elements, maintaining stylistic continuity with the rest of the house.

In Villa CL, architecture, materiality, and detail engage in a coherent dialogue. The presence of GEDA, through the Jago collection, helps define a project in which design becomes an integral part of the living experience.
